Sunday and Monday were both dedicated to the area surrounding El Shaddai Baptist Church, about 15 minutes from the hotel. El Shaddai is know by loacal as the Water Well Church, as they have a natural well in out front availabe to the community. These two days marked the first effort in which all three teams coordinated their work together to build one event: the evening worship and Gospel presentation.


Sunday began with all teams going out to canvas the area for street evangelism and to drum up interest in the evening worship While David Hain preached during the morning worship at El Shaddai. Quite often the people are told to come see the Americans and the Texans give a concet and speak. Something about that works well! It is common to hear children shouting to parents in Portuegese, "the Americans have come," or "I saw the Americans!"


The teams split Sunday afternoon. The Sports team immediately build a crowd as they played street soccer in front of the church. Many were saved. The Evangelism team hit the homes around the church, again. Great numbers were invited and many were saved. The Student team gave a concert at a local park, encouraging people to the evening event. Monday afternoons saw all three teams out again: the Sports team using sports to draw a crowd, the evangelism tean conducting door-to-door evangelism and the Student team giving a concert and Gospel presentation at a locall school.


Both evening worship services were full. Larry Randall preached Sunday night John Babler Monday. The work and coordination of all three teams proved successful at drawing the crouwd! Many were saved both nights, and many rededicated their life to the Lord.


Many Brazillians have been shown thoughout these galleries. These are locals that have been saved and/or invited to an event, and who we continue to pray over. Some of their stories will be told in future updates.
